Country Baking, Homemade and Delicious
Baked fresh daily
The Freshest Ingredients
Living on Prince Edward Island for my entire life I adore the change of seasons (maybe not Winter so much). And with the change of season is also the variety of locally grown and produced ingredients. Here at Borrowed Kitchen, we try to use as many local products as possible and change up the baked goods with the availability of local fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Prince Edward Island has so many wonderful products and producers and I do love local!
Ginger Owl Cookies
All Proceeds Donated to the Macphail Woods Ecological Forestry Project
I have participated in a few of the Owl Prowls at Macphails and I wanted to do something for this wonderful place. I started making Ginger Owl Cookies with all proceeds from these cookies being donated. The recipe is my grandmother’s and the aroma of these delicious cookies makes me reminiscent of my childhood and fun times on the family farm in rural PEI.
